Backups, backups and again backups

Well, anyone who work digital like me knows how important it is to safe your backups from time to time. I usually do this ofcourse but sometimes things just go not the way you expect…
So about 3 weeks ago my 1TB harddrive thought a headcrash would lighten up my day. For a short moment I thought it wouldn’t be a problem because at least I made a backup 5 months ago (i know: too long ago actually) but unfortunately all backupfiles were corrupt and it showed me a couple of thousands of 0KB files. So the last backup that really work was a backup I made in july 2007.
What can I say - I lost 1 1/2 year of my work and showed me painfully how important backups are and that I should make them once a week and more than on only one external drive.
But oh well, “Move On!” is all I can say now and I’m currently working on my new series “LIL’ALIENZ”. Many skribbles and sketches have to be scanned in and vectorized.
By the way: I uploaded my design on our site PATCH TOGETHER so if you like you can vote or leave a comment.
So after I reorganised all my lost and spread files (some survived on a usb harddrive) I now continue to work on my stuff and also keep my blog updated.
