015

Somehow I made it happen to stay young – okay my bones hurts more than some years ago – but in my mind and my heart I stayed at the mid twenties.

I still love Cartoons, Comics, Disney Classics. I love to visit amusement parcs such as DISNEYLAND and visit every single attraction. I still can laugh about silly jokes and can also drop some tears at sad movies.

I believe beside my lovely family – who always supported me – this is my “elixir of life” and when I stop beeing a child then I will stop living.

… THIS IS HOW IT STARTED

well since I was a little kid I used to sketch on any paper that came in my reach of hands. My mum propably gave me a little of this drawing-genes, because she used to draw Disney-Characters and loved to watch Disney-Cartoons and Movies with me.

When I turned 12 I started to be interested in graffitiart and began to draw my first sketches – but it took a minimum of 10 years before I really got into the writerscene and did this more serious.

Meanwhile I met my buddy Ralph Ferres – I was fascinated by his drawings and sketches since I saw the first picture in his sketchbooks. I was lucky to rent the books for study and started to learn from his drawings and got more into the world of Cartoons and Comicstrips.

… JUST WRITING MY NAME WITH GRAFFITI ON THE WALL

When I was about mid 20 I met a graffitiwriter from paris – he tought me how to use the spracans and bring my sketches on walls. I mainly did characters because I was not so into the letterthing…

… FROM 9 TO 5

Because of my DJ-career during this time I stopped drawing for a long time and started to work as a graphic designer in an agency – because somehow the bills had to be paid at the end of the months.

So during the week I worked at the agency and at the weekends I spinned records at the clubs.

… COMPUTER GENERATED IMAGES

I was always interested in 3D and cg-graphic and illustration but never had the time to actually start something – but then one day I bought CINEMA 4D to learn 3D modelling – but as I found out – to learn this you need a hell lot of time…so at the end I lost interest because of the long workflow.

In december 2007 I bought a WACOM INTUOS and PAINTER which I use next to PHOTOSHOP as my main tool. I took some old sketches by my friend Ralph and started to practise digital illustration. So finally I found the right tool to create what’s in my mind…

Here I could combine my love for 3D and cg-graphics.

… BUDDYWORX

The cooperation between me and Ralph was something we were talking about for years so we’re glad that we finally do things together and there will come out more things in the future.

… DESIGNERTOYS & PATCH TOGETHER

One of the sketches, that Ralph sent me for an illustration is now available as a designertoy: The SEA HUNTER – PATCH TOGETHER, USA released him in 2008 und is nearly sold out to collectors worldwide. Meanwhile – because of the work on SEA HUNTER – I became a partner of PATCHTOGETHER.com. I’m helping to build up the brand and improve the marketing…

I was always interested in Cartoonfigures as Toys and by now I got a nice collection of designertoys. I never thought there would be my own designertoy included – so I’m very proud of the SEA HUNTER standing there.  My freelance work at PATCH TOGETHER got more serious beginning of 2009 and I took care on several Projects such as the ON DEMAND EXCLUSIVE. I hope beside my own future project to be able to help other artists to release their toys trough PATCH TOGETHER.

… URBAN ART & CUSTOMS

End of 2008 I started to work on my first customs of different figures. By now it became an important part and because of so many custom-projects I barely take time to improve my skillz for illustration.

Spring 2009 I was lucky to got picked as the only german artist for “Disney’s STITCH EXPERIMENT 626 PROJECT CUSTOM ART TOUR” to participate. My submission called “626 CUTIE MONSTER” got good critiques at different ONLINE MAGAZINES which lead me to another project for Disney’s MICKEY BRAND HALO by 3-MIX.com for an art exhibition in Hong Kong.

I hope many more projects will follow and I’m curious what the future holds for me…
